Duette, Applause Cellular Shades
Cellular has a shape of a beehive honeycomb. The shade expands & collapses like an accordion. They come in single cell, double celll for weather protection & sound absorption. Most common cell sizes are: 3/8", 3/4". Some are 1 1/4" or even larger, mainly used in huge windows. Engineered to provide energy efficiency at windows in both warm & cold climates. Their efficient honeycomb traps air in distinct pockets, which create insulation, resulting in lower energy bill.
For large windows & doors, honeycomb is among the top choice as the fabric is light. Light fabric makes it easy to lift & shades last longer.

- Top Down Bottom Up is our favorite as it let you control light at any angle. Have privacy yet still see the peekaboo views.
- Duolite operates like a Top Down Bottom Up. It has 2 layers of fabric: sheer on top, room darkening fabric on bottom. So you can see the gorgeous view while (at the same time) have complete control of light and enjoy utmost privacy behind the fabric.
For doors that need extra insulation, the Vertiglide™ operating system is the ideal option. It’s designed for vertical applications and uses the same fabrics as your horizontal Duette shades. You can use one shade to cover the entire expanse of a sliding door. Or, cover the door with a split stack Vertiglide shade, with each side of the shade operating independently. There are 5 options for shade operation:
- Cord Lock is the standard. Pull the outside cord & stop the shade where you want by easily locking it.
- Custom Clutch with Cord Loop. Pull the loop to lower or raise the shade.
- Ultraglide is Hunter Douglas proprietary control. To LOWER: pull the wand in short strokes toward center of shade. To RAISE: Pull the wand in short stroke toward the outer edge of shade.
- Soft Touch is powered. Designed for customers who don't like to deal with remote control, hub, and smart phone apps. Simply Touch the wand to open or close shade. The wand is connected to motor, circuit board & power source (battery or DC adapter).
- Powerview is award-winning power control. If you like hitech & innovation, this is your dream comes true for automated window treatment control. Power by battery or electricity.
- Remote Control connects to your shades via infrared. You can open & close shade from 30ft away.
- Smart App (need Powerview Hub) give you the power to open, close, tilt vanes of your shade with your smart phone, iphone, tablet...
- Alexa, Google Home (need Powerview Hub) has become an interesting part of our lives. With voice control, your shade lower or raise at your commands.
